Cooper's Blue Blankie

The weekend before our scheduled C-section, we decided to pick out a blanket to bring with us to the hospital. We didn't want to bring clothes, because we didn't know how big he would be or what condition he was going to be in. Ryne, Molly and I picked out a very soft and cuddly blue and white baby blanket. One side is blue with white stars, and the other side is white with blue stars. It was perfect. We wrapped him in this blanket the entire time he was with us. We then brought it home, and it brought me so much comfort. I wanted to do nothing but hold it as tight as I could to me. It was the closest thing we had to him. Our daughter, who was 1 and a half at the time, wanted it. It seemed she knew how special it was. From that day on, she sleeps with it every night and it brings her the most comfort. It is "her" blankie, and I love how much she cherishes it without truly understanding just how special it is to us all. My husband and I are so thankful we had a beautiful baby blanket to wrap him in. We hope these baby blankets can bring comfort to other families who have to endure the loss of their precious baby.
